NOTE: If you want to edit or talk or an existing agent, refer to this article which goes over how to do those actions:

To get started, click Agents in the left sidebar, then click Create Agent.

Step 1: Select Agent Type

Choose the appropriate Agent Type.

Example:

  • Inbound Primary Care Intake
An agent that handles incoming patient calls, collects information, verifies supported conditions, and asks condition specific intake questions. Unsupported conditions are transferred to clinic staff.

Select the agent type that matches your workflow.

Step 2: Configure Basic Settings

Agent’s Name in Conversation:

Enter the name the agent will use when speaking with callers.

Example: Aya

This is how the agent introduces itself.

Language

Select the language your agent will speak.

Multiple language options are available depending on your clinic’s needs.

Transfer Phone Number

Enter the phone number where calls should be transferred if:

  • A condition is not supported

  • Escalation is required

  • The caller needs human assistance

This ensures patient safety and proper routing.

Step 3: Context Document Template

The Context Document Template defines the knowledge base and structured intake questions your agent will use.

This document should include:

  • Supported conditions

  • Alternate ways patients may describe symptoms

  • Standard intake questions

  • Red flag criteria

  • Escalation triggers

Minimum 200 characters required.

This is critical to ensuring your agent gathers appropriate and structured information.

Step 6: Create Agent

Click Create Agent.

Your new agent will now appear on the Agents page as a card.

And that's it! You have created your Agent for Autochart.ai Voice.
