Click any encounter in Completed to open its note. The note is on the left and tools are on the right.
Editing and copying
- Edit directly: Click into the note and type. Use the toolbar for bold, italic, bullets, numbered lists and checklists. Undo with Ctrl+Z (Windows) or Cmd+Z (Mac), redo with Ctrl+Y or Cmd+Shift+Z.
- Copy Rich Text: Keeps formatting. Best for EMRs that accept formatted text.
- Copy Simple Text: Plain text with the layout you set in App Settings -> Clipboard.
- Start Dictation: Speak edits into the note. Requires the Intensive plan or higher.
- Hover over a section: Small icons let you copy that section or Transform section to rewrite just that part.
- Regenerate: Rewrites the note from the recording using your settings.
- Info icon next to Note v1: Shows the settings used to generate the note.
- Rate this note: Use the thumbs up or down under the transcript to send feedback.

Troubleshooting notes
- Note is missing details: Add context before generating, speak clearly, or check the Transcript tab to see what was captured. You can also use Chat or edit the note directly.
- Note is the wrong format: Open Encounter Settings before recording and pick the right Note Type. For an existing note, change the settings and click Regenerate.
- Note is too long or too short: Change Note Brevity, then Regenerate.
- Wrong language: Check Input Language and Output Language in Encounter Settings.
- Copy and paste looks wrong in my EMR: Try the other copy button, and adjust Settings -> App Settings -> Clipboard.
- Cannot find an old visit: Check the archive view, and remember visits are removed after your retention period.
