Telehealth lets you call patients or host video visits from Autochart.ai, with live transcription and notes from the visit.
Plan availability: Telehealth video and phone calls are available on the Daily plan or higher. See pricing and plans.
How to access: Left sidebar -> Settings -> Telehealth.
What you can do
- Call patients' phones directly.
- Host video visits through a browser link.
- Send meeting invitations by SMS or email.
- Get real-time transcription during calls.
- Generate clinical notes from telehealth visits.
Set it up
- Click Enable to turn Telehealth on.
- Under Device Configuration, click Test Camera & Microphone. Allow access when your browser asks. Camera and Microphone should change from Not tested to working.
- Optional, Outbound Caller ID: Enter your Clinic Phone Number so patients see it when you call. Autochart.ai calls that number, you answer and enter the verification code when prompted.
Start a call
Click New Encounter, then Video Call or Phone Call at the top of the recording card.
Camera or microphone blocked?
- Browser: Click the lock icon in the address bar and set Camera and Microphone to Allow, then refresh.
- Windows: Settings -> Privacy & security -> Camera, then Microphone. Allow your browser.
- Mac: System Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Camera, then Microphone. Turn on your browser.
Troubleshooting
- Video buttons are locked or missing: Check Settings -> Subscription -> Plan & Add-Ons.
- The patient cannot join: Resend the invitation by SMS or email and confirm the contact details.
- Caller ID verification failed: Make sure the number is correct and you can answer calls to it, then try again.
- No sound on a call: Check your microphone and speakers in the browser and system settings, and close other apps using them.
