Encounters View: How to Resume a Recording

Did you finish a recording only to realize you left out a key detail? Or maybe your patient followed up with new information that should be included in the chart? No problem—Autochart.ai lets you resume an already processed recording and seamlessly add additional context.

To do this, head to the Encounters View and open the specific encounter you’d like to update. In the bottom-right corner of the Note Panel, click the Resume button.

Once you click Resume, a transcription bar will appear—allowing you to record new information directly within the Note View.

You can speak additional notes, add clarifying details, or even continue the consultation right there. If you change your mind, simply click the X button next to Conclude to discard the resumed recording.

When you're finished, click Conclude to process the new recording. A fresh note and updated transcription will be generated, seamlessly integrating the new information into the existing encounter.

Resuming is a powerful way to ensure your charts are complete, accurate, and reflect the full scope of the consultation—even after it's over.
