A note type is a template. It tells the AI what sections to write and how.
How to access: Settings -> AI Settings -> Note Types tab.
The page is split into Your own note types, System note types (such as SOAP, Progress Note, Discharge Summary, Consultation Note and Meeting Minutes) and Public note types from other users (coming soon).
Create a note type
- Click New Note Type.
- Enter a Note Type Name.
- Under General Instructions, describe tone, style and overall structure. For example: "Use SOAP format. Keep subjective brief. Include detailed assessment with differential diagnoses."
- Click Add Section for each part of the note. Enter a Section heading, or leave it empty for a plain paragraph with no title. Add instructions for the section, such as "Use bullet points."
- Use the arrows on a section to reorder it, or the X to remove it.
- Open Template Preview to check the layout.
- Click Save.
Other actions
- Edit: Click the name of a note type.
- Set a default: Click the star next to it.
- Archive: Use the three dots on a note type, then turn on Show Archived to see it again.
- Edit a system note type: System note types cannot be changed. Create your own copy to customize it.
Troubleshooting
- My section is missing from the note: Check that the section has a heading and that it is not empty or removed.
- The note ignores a section instruction: Make the instruction short and specific, then Regenerate.
- Where do I set brevity and codes? Under Presets.
