How to Create and Use PDF Templates

PDF Templates fill your own forms, such as referral or work notes, with details from an encounter.

Plan availability: PDF Templates are available on the Intensive plan or higher. See pricing and plans.

How to access: Left sidebar -> Settings -> PDF Templates. It has four tabs.

| Tab | What it does | | --- | --- | | My Templates | Your saved templates. Edit or delete them here. | | Template Builder | Upload a PDF and place fields on it. | | Template Tags | Create custom tags for your templates. | | System Defaults | Ready-made templates for your country and region. |

Build a template

  1. Go to Template Builder.
  2. Click Choose PDF and pick a file up to 10 MB.
  3. Drag the Text Field element onto the PDF where a value should appear.
  4. Save the template.

Create a custom tag

  1. Go to Template Tags.
  2. Under Add New Tag, enter a Label and a Value.
  3. Click Add.

Tags are placeholders that are replaced with real values when a document is made.
